Lo-Shu grid can be considered as a 3x3 matrix having numbers arranged in it such that the sum of the numbers in a row or column or diagonal is 15. Each number is related to some aspect of our life.

A person starts his career or occupation alone, so the number one is allotted to it. A relationship or marriage has two persons attached to it or two parties meet in a relationship so the number two is attached to it. A family consist of father, mother and children. So there are three parts of a family and the number three is attached to it. When a person has a family and a career he gains prosperity. The more fruitful the career is , more prosperous the life of the person is. So the number four is allotted to prosperity. A person with family and money must concentrate on health and it is easy for this kind of person to have it. The number five is allotted to health and well being. A person with family, wealth and health attracts friends and well wishers. They suggest him in his life. The number six is allotted to Friends and well wishers. A person spends some part of his life in the meantime his children grow up. The number seven is related to children and the earlier six things are required to have children up to this stage. The next thing which he has to concentrate is the education and knowledge of his child. The number which is related to this part of one's life is the number 8. When a person masters all these aspects of his life he is adorned with name and fame in the society. The number which is related to name and fame is the number 9.
